We eagerly fund organizations with an effective track record, a diverse board and staff and robust service offerings that meet client needs and make a demonstrable impact.
All grantees must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Foundation will not support organizations that discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, political affiliation, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief.
The Foundation awards grants to organizations based within the United States with a special focus on the New York metropolitan area. We do not consider funding for individuals or loans.
We prioritize organizations that serve the New York metropolitan area and consider projects nationally and around the world that align with our areas of interest.
Type of Support
The Foundation provides funding for both General Support and Project Support.
How to Apply
Organizations should submit a letter of inquiry, no more than 3 pages in length, that describes the organization, it’s mission and program activities, the need identified and the specific amount being requested. A copy of the organization’s 501 (c)(3) determination should accompany the letter of inquiry. While not required, supplemental materials such as video links, photos or case studies can be included. The Foundation may request follow-up materials after an initial review.
